Abstrakt

Aim: To present a case of heterotopic pregnancy in a patient after intrauterine insemination with acute onset of abdominal pain.

Methods: Own observation and literature review.

Conclusion: Heterotopic pregnancy is a rare diagnosis in gynecology which remains a life threatening complication of pregnancy. Early and timely diagnosis is fundamental and allows for further development of intrauterine pregnancy.
